Phone Photo Fun

Hello friends!  OK, so I've gotten really lazy in the blogging world lately and especially in the picture taking department.  I guess when you're hot, pregnant and chasing a two-year-old, it's just easier to snap pictures with your phone, rather than your nice camera.

Here's a look at our weekend via Instagram pics.

Friday afternoon at the fair, my office gave away homemade ice cream before the Junior Livestock Sale.  We are one popular group of people at the fair!

Grandpa and Grandma brought the Little Lady to the fair.  Rockin' her romper and boots : )

We recently opened a satellite office in Strasburg.  Saturday morning, I got to get up bright and early and drive over 100 miles for our grand opening/open house during the Strasburg Hometown Days town festival.

We handed out popcorn out in front of our office during the parade.

Saturday afternoon, I made us a key lime pie.  If you've never tried the recipe on the back of this bottle of key lime juice, you must...it is the absolute easiest recipe ever and so yummy!

Saturday evening, we were just hanging out when the Little Lady decided to help her baby doll learn how to ride.  She was so cute to watch!

Here's to a great week friends!

New Boss Lady

There’s a new boss lady on the ranch…and I don’t think I’d mess with her!

My Mom captured this great picture of the Little Lady imitating Grandpa yesterday morning when he was conducting some ranch business.

Phone Photo Fun

Happy Monday friends!  Hope you all had a nice weekend and are looking forward to your week ahead.  Here's a look back at our week via Instagram pics.

Each year for fair, I make a special young lady {my bestie's niece} a hair bow to match her shirt for county fair.  Thursday, we went and watched her and her little brother show their steers.

The Little Lady was really into the Olympics the other night ~ watching and mimicking the gymnasts.  It was very entertaining!

The Little Lady is finally showing a little interest in her potty {instead of literally running the other way yelling no}.  Here she is first thing one morning : )

I ordered a custom made brand ring in January.  It finally came this week!  It was worth the wait...I love it so much!

Friday, our actual anniversary, John Wayne and I were in the big city for a doctor's appointment so we got to celebrate our anniversary again!

Saturday, the Little Lady and I went to Colorado Springs with Grandma.

First stop was Ellicott so Grandma could get her hair done.  The Little Lady loved sitting in the chair...maybe someday she'll have enough hair that she needs a hair cut!

Chick-fil-A for lunch...love us some CFA!

When we're done in town before we head home, we always stop at Sonic for a drink.  The Little Lady has to have her own now days.  She drank maybe two sips of it before she was asleep.

At the county fair carnival the Little Lady won $10!  She chose to buy a Merida doll with her money.

Have a great week!  I think we have another busy one on tap.

Happy {{10th!!!}} Anniversary John Wayne!

Ten whole years, doesn't seem possible.
Look at us...we were just babes. {Really, 20 years old!}
But it worked for us and I've never looked back or regretted it for a second.

John Wayne, I love you and best of all...you're fun to be married to!

Anniversary Getaway

On August 3rd, John Wayne and I will celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary!  Since it's a "milestone" anniversary, I kinda wanted to getaway for a long weekend like to Santa Fe, but I was honest with myself and decided that would be better saved for when I'm not very pregnant.  So, we just ventured to the big city {Denver} for a night.

I got a great deal on a room at the Hyatt downtown.  I'm a hotel snob and I really enjoyed this hotel.

The view, daytime and nightime, from our room on the 30th floor.

After check-in, we enjoyed a couples massage at the hotel spa.  {John Wayne is probably turning red with embarrassment...I'm sure I wasn't supposed to share that with the whole blog world...but as "unmanly" as he may think it is, I think he rather enjoyed it!}

After our massages, we got ready for dinner.  Don't you love our self-portrait?!?

We decided on the Denver Chophouse for dinner.

The food was amazing!
We shared the BBQ Shrimp appetizer.  It had a spicy kick and was so yummy!
I had the Fillet Mignon with White Cheddar Mashed Potatoes.  I'm kinda a steak snob too and this lived up to my expectations.
Instead of rolls or bread, they serve Jalapeno Cornbread with their meals...very good!

We were going to walk down to the Cheesecake Factory for dessert, but were too full.  We just headed back to the room where we spent the rest of the evening watching the Olympics {enjoying not having to flip back and forth between the Olympics and Toy Story}.

Sunday morning, we enjoyed breakfast at Sams No. 3 before heading home.  It's a fun place that's been featured on Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives."

We really enjoyed our night away.  I wouldn't trade living on the ranch for anything, but I do enjoy the big city life for a night every now and then {and John Wayne tolerates it for me}!

And in a totally unrelated Instagram picture from the week, the Little Lady and I received goodies in the mail from Giddy Up Glamour this week!

The Little Lady’s Latest and Greatest

The Little Lady’s ultimate show of affection is a hug, followed by a kiss, then a high five and finished off with a fist bump.
The other night, John Wayne and I both got home late. We were just hanging out as a family and John Wayne asked the Little Lady if she had said hi to her little bro.
She proceeded to lift up my shirt, and you guessed it, hug my belly, kiss my belly, slap my belly and slug my belly.
Oh…the love!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

She is obsessed {to an annoying degree} with watching Cars, Toy Story and Monsters.
Her current favorite is Toy Story.
Grandma found and ordered her this Jessie nightgown {and we can’t forget the “awesome” headband that came with it}.
She put it on the night it came and the next morning at around 11:00, Grandma emailed me and told me that T was refusing to put regular clothes on, she just wanted to wear her nightgown and boots!
What can I say, the girl’s got a style all her own!

And finally, the Little Lady was the unfortunate victim of her first bad road rash incident this weekend.
This picture doesn’t quite do justice to how bad it really is.
Poor baby’s eye and lip were really swollen and she has bad scrapes all down one side of her face.
She did cry pretty good {I would have questioned if she hadn’t}, but our little tuffy handled it pretty well.
Now, she just has to endure everyone asking her what happened!

That's what's currently going on in the Little Lady's world!

Little Red Wagon

These pictures are a few weeks old, but I stumbled upon them on my camera and just had to share.

They're from when we were having the scorching hot heat wave...

And the Little Lady wanted to swim at 8 o'clock at night...

Rather than filling her pool...

Grandpa was able to get by with this...
