A Party!

Today, the Little Lady and I headed to Brush for our favorite little man's first birthday party! (Daddy chose to go to Cash's branding over Kalab's party, can you believe that?!?)

We had a great time at Kaleb's barnyard themed party, very cute!

Great picture of the mamas, not so great picture of the kiddos : )

Tressie was so excited to see Kaleb!

Kaleb (still recovering from an ear infection and not on top of his game) maybe didn't feel the same way.

OK, not maybe, for sure!

Happy first birthday Kaleb! We had a great time celebrating with you!!!

Oak Ridge, Tennessee

Hmmm, never really considered it before.
Honestly, never even heard of it until a minute ago.
But, I am moving there.

The answer to a quick Google search prompted this decision.
What is the least windy city in the world?
(I initially searched the least windy place in the world, which returned: the ocean. No thank you, I don’t do submarines.)

Oak Ridge, Tennessee…I think I'll be really happy there.

Our Saturday

A few random pics from our Saturday.

T was a trooper.
First, she waited while Grandma got a haircut in Ellicott.
Then, she waited while Mama got a haircut downtown.
Yes, a trooper.

Then we had to go get new tires on the car.

The trooper is starting to get a little tired!

How I'd prefer to visit Wal-Mart too.

Grandma and I have broke her in good. She's always a good, good girl for the marathon errand/shopping trips that we drag her on.

Worth it...

It's been a long day.
It started with an early morning drive to DIA.
Was followed by boarding a plane, only to sit there for a half an hour to have to de-board the plane (I'm pretty sure this is what they called the process) due to mechanical problems.

But finally, several hours late, I made it to Kansas City.

It was worth the hassle...Kansas City barbeque!

Ummm, yuuuummmm!

Ouch!

We knew it would happen sooner or later.
Today was the day.
The Little Lady took her first good digger.
And it was a doozy!

Darn heater vent tripped her up and sent her head first into her rocking chair.

We knew it was for real because she cried. (She never cries.)
Well that and the giant purple goose-egg that appeared in 1.2 seconds.

Rookie Mom and Dad were a little shook up.
Grandma came and made everyone all better.

The Little Lady chose to chew on her ice pack rather than ice her knot.

She's all back to normal now, her and her daredevil ways, trying to get a matching one for the other side.

Horses and Girls

There's just something about little girls and their horses, right.

Yesterday on Facebook I posted some super cute pics of the Little Lady on her rocking horse.

Anne, one of my best and definitely my oldest friend (as in we have been friends FOREVER), made the comment that she remembered two girls who have a pic on a rocking horse, too.

Aren't we cute?!?!

I have so many good memories, old and new, with Anne. I hope that the Little Lady has a forever friend just like Annie!
