Mother's Day 2014

I had a wonderful Mother's Day -- spending it with all of the important ladies in my life.

We were at my Grandpa and Grandma Chisman's {Mom's parents} in Hanover, but my Grandpa and Grandma Hammer {Dad's parents} came with us.  I really love that about our family -- everyone's friends.

GW is becoming quite the little ham.
This photo pretty much sums up his day.
Love it!

And what Mother's Day would be complete without a Mother's Day #selfie :)

Easter 2014

Easter kicked off Friday night with dying eggs.
John Wayne gets the gold star.
I had a bad tooth ache, so he pretty much got to handle it.
With Gaga's help.

We had princess eggs, Ninja Turtle eggs and happy kids.
I guess that adds up to success.

Here is one of my Easter Pinterest projects.
They turned out pretty cute.

Saturday we went to the city to spend the day at Justin's Grandma's...Gigi's.
{I love that we always have two Easters...that equals two outfits for the kids!}

After a great time at Gigi's, things went down hill.
Saturday night a little after midnight, GW woke up puking.
And was up all night puking.
Boo.

John Wayne and the Little Lady went to church with Gaga and Papa and GW and I stayed home and cuddled on the couch and got some more rest.

By the time they got home from church, he was up to joining everyone for Easter dinner.
And...I had to have a few pictures in his new Easter suit.

Miss Tressie looked so pretty.
Take notice, her dress 'looks' like Elsa's : )

 I absolutely love this picture.

After the egg hunt, Gaga had prepared a treasure hunt for the kids.
It was of course adorable and fun and they loved it!

The final treasure was a new picnic table!!

We hope that your Easter was as blessed as ours!
{Minus the flu...that EVERYONE ended up getting.}

Catching Up

Here I am, playing catch-up, again.
These are pics from two weeks ago.

GW had his half birthday.
The big eighteen months!

We had our annual Farm Credit customer appreciation dinner.
It was a big night.
GW debuted his hat.
And T asked her 11-year-old crush "do you wanna get married?"
And then proceeded to kiss him, as two of her friends held him down.

Seriously, what are we going to do with her...

The next morning we headed to Sterling for KK's birthday party.
Things are getting complicated.
I mean she has a boyfriend...
She has a fiance...

It was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle party, so here the kids are, just getting into character.

My two little ninjas were tired by the time we got home.

Great Papa took us out to dinner at the Trading Post for John Wayne helping him calve out heifers.
Great Papa and Great Grandma think these two are pretty neat.

OK, one step closer to caught up!

Buckaroo Got New Boots

Buckaroo got new boots.

And apparently needs a new shirt that fits, too.
I love that one of my friends called it his "Bubba shirt."

Yes, this one is already in the "Save for Senior Slideshow" file!!

Amazing Weekend

Seeing how it is already the weekend again, I guess I better blog about last weekend.
Because it was amazing.

Gaga and Papa, yes #rockstars, watched the kids for John Wayne and I so we could have a little weekend getaway.
This is our no kids face!

We started with lunch at Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q.
If you've never gone.
Go.

Then while I got a mani/pedi, John Wayne killed time at Bass Pro.
Win win situation.

JC Nail Spa.
Ah-mazing.
For your mani, you sit in a overstuffed leather recliner!

Then we checked into our hotel and got ready for the evening.
The evening that consisted of GEORGE STRAIT!

First we had dinner at our all time favorite, the Rio.

Then, we headed to the Pepsi Center to spend the evening with Lee Ann Womack, Merle Haggard and King George.
What an amazing line-up; some of John Wayne and I's favorites.
I mean you already know that we love us some Merle and Lee Ann Womack, one of the best female voices in country music.
By the end of the concert I was almost in tears {ridiculous, I know} but I mean why does the cowboy have to ride away?

The next morning we slept in.
That was awesome.
Grabbed some lunch and went and saw Divergent.

Best weekend ever!!!

So, three weeks ago tomorrow, I changed my computer wall paper to this.
I had just finished my first 21 Day Fix, had great results and was heading into round two.
Well, here I am, 21 days later...null.
I didn't eat terrible, not even really bad, but I didn't focus like you have to on The Fix.
So, tomorrow me and a couple of friends are starting it again.
It helps to have a group doing it at the same time as you...accountability.

We got our first Bountiful Basket two weeks ago, this is it, and we just picked up our second one Friday night.
I LOVE this.
Living in a rural area, you might not always have access to the freshest or biggest variety of fresh fruits and veggies, but Bountiful Baskets gives you just that.

We transformed our old file room at the office into an exercise room.
We just got our equipment a couple of weeks ago.
This is awesome!!!
I get off of work about 30 minutes before John Wayne, so the perfect time to get 30 minutes of cardio in.
I still get up at 5AM and do my workout at home, I'm still doing the 21 Day Fix regiment right now, and then add the additional cardio at night.

This weekend was the second race of Sweatovation's Commit To Be Fit 5k series.
I'm thrilled to report that I cut almost 4 minutes off of my time from January.
And I'm getting closer to my 10 minute miles goal.

I have never liked to run, but I'm kinda actually starting to like it.
I told the girls at the office the other day that as awful as this sounds, I think it's because my kids or the hubs can't just open a door and find me...ALONE TIME!

And finally, I found this the other day and it really rang true for me.
Lately, I've been catching myself telling myself, oh go ahead, I'll just do an extra 20 minutes on the treadmill.
Well folks, 20 extra minutes on the treadmill doesn't offset a half a bag of Cadbury Mini Eggs.
Darn those little things!

OK, I'll update you in 3 weeks with RESULTS!!!

These Crazy Kids

Hi friends!  It's been awhile, I know.  I get so caught up in Facebook and Instagram, but I know that some of you rely on the good old blog for your Tressie and Gunner fix, so here are a few of my recent favorites.

I love this pic of GW, simply because he still kinda looks like a baby.
Yep, holding onto any little moment of baby that I can.

Because trust me, there are a lot more of these moments now days!

Last weekend Tressie had the honor of escorting cousin Jeremy in the formal part of his Mr. Sand Creek competition.  We had such a fun night with the Jaquess crew and don't T and Jeremy just look adorable!

This Little Buckaroo LOVES the goats.
These pics are after Gaga and Papa's goat sale this weekend.

And this is from tonight...
Turn your back for five seconds and this happens!!!

Love every moment of this craziness!!!
