Trick or Treat

The Little Lady decided quite awhile back that she wanted her and GW to be superheroes for Halloween.
Easy enough, I can make capes.
I even joined in on the fun with a cape and mask.

I worked in the morning and then Gaga and Papa brought the littles up to Limon so the girls in the office could see them.
Katie and Baby Maddie met up with us.
After lunch, I went home with them so we could rest up and then head to Kit Carson for trick-or-treating.

The Little Lady said that her superpower was "force fields."
{She's very into the movie The Incredibles and the girl's power on the movie is throwing force fields.}
I love the pic of her below, throwing her best force field : )

She also said that GW's superpower was walking on water.
We giggled and told her, "no, that's Jesus." : )

GW fought his nap all afternoon.
Then he fell asleep about 20 minutes before we needed to leave.
Despite how he's looking here, he ended up having a lot of fun.
We all did.
I'm so thankful for such a nice little community to trick-or-treat in.

Pumpkin Carving

Last Sunday night, Gaga and Papa came over for pumpkin carving.
It was a fun night...snacks, pumpkins and World Series baseball.

Gaga and Papa got the littles these awesome trick-or-treat bags!

Pumpkin guts make someone gag...

But not her little brother!
{Check out T's face in the pictures!}

So, she decided she'd draw on hers...

GW thoroughly enjoyed himself!

The finished products.

This is her scary face : )

GW's First Haircut

GW got his first haircut two weeks ago.

At first I really didn't love it, but it has grown on me...some.

I always said I wanted to just let him have shaggy hair, but it was long and getting in his eyes and with family pictures scheduled the next weekend I decided we better do something about it.

Once we got home and I kind of roughed the front up, I liked it better.

One night the week before I took him to get his haircut, I mentioned to John Wayne that I thought GW was needing a haircut.
To which his big sister piped up, "oh, I can do it."
All of the scissors were hidden.
