Back to work

It's a day that I have dreaded since I found out I was pregnant...and I knew it would come all too soon...and it did. Monday was my first day back at the office. But...thanks to all the prayers and support of all the wonderful people around me, I can't believe I'm saying this, but it hasn't been that bad!

A couple of things that have made the transition back easier...

1) Grandma's here! It's been much easier leaving her each morning when I know she's spending the day hanging out with Grandma.

2) I am swamped at work...lots piles up in eight weeks!

3) Everyone at the office has been great!

4) My Tressie shrine at the office...plenty of pictures to oogle over throughout the day!

5) Special treats from special people...

Somehow Tressie got a hold of Grandma's credit card and sent me this beautiful bouquet!

A gorgeous African violet plant sent from our dear friends the Knutsons - Shaun, Jocelyn and little Kaleb!

A big thank you to everyone who has helped make this dreaded day not so bad!

Mom and I went shopping!

We had a couple of big events this weekend, so Mom and I went shopping for the perfect outfits!

Here I am all ready for Farm Credit's customer appeciation dinner Friday night in Hugo. I was a really good girl and got to meet lots of people!

Saturday was my shower at Kendrick given by Aunt Jody, Sammi and Great Grandma Kinkade. It was so much fun and I got so much good stuff!

We have footage!

Mom caught me in the act today during "tummy time." I was a bit fussy today, so my tummy time session (which I usually really like) turned into a character building session (not getting exactly what I want the second I start to cry). Mom and I had both had about all the character building we could stand (like a whole minute worth) when she could see that my frustration was leading somewhere...from my tummy to my back!

Sorry, my Mom isn't very tech savvy, so she wasn't able to edit out the 30 seconds of me fussing before I rolled over...but if you can hang with me while I build character for a few seconds, you'll get to see my latest trick!

Milestone #1...Rolling Over

Yes...you read that correctly...rolling over! Our little 5-week-old Tressie rolled from her tummy to her back four times today in about a half hour time frame! I laid her down for tummy time and within 30 seconds she had rolled to her back...I didn't believe my eyes, so I put her back on her tummy and she did it again. I called my Mom and told her it looks like I better get the video camera out and figure out how to use it because no one is going to believe me. Justin got home in time to catch the last roll of the evening!

Easter Fun

I had a big Easter weekend! Here I am with Mom and Dad on Saturday morning...ready to start the festivities!

I thought it was pretty funny when my "picture backdrop" fell on my head!

I am such a big fan of my bouncy chair at home, Grandma and Grandpa bought me one for Easter to keep at their house...here I am trying it out!

Pretty little lady in my Easter dress!

I am kissin' on my ducky from Grandpa and Grandma!

I have an Easter basket just my size!

And at the end of the day...I was pretty much over it all!

1 month old

I was a big 1 month old yesterday! I had my check-up today...doctor said I am doing great!!! I have grown to...drum roll please...7 pounds 2 ounces and 19 3/8 inches!

The doctor was impressed by and commented several times on how strong I am...and Mom said not only physically, but also my personality. I'm sure that Grandpa and Grandma are going to be able to just sit back and get many good laughs over the next 18 years as I pay my Mom back!

My first friend

The Watson's came over tonight and I made my very first friend, Lauren! I think we really hit it off!

It was great to see Tim, Katie, Lauren and Luke! And Katie prepared and brought us a fabulous dinner - it was so nice not to have to worry about cooking!
