Trick or Treat

The Little Lady decided quite awhile back that she wanted her and GW to be superheroes for Halloween.
Easy enough, I can make capes.
I even joined in on the fun with a cape and mask.

I worked in the morning and then Gaga and Papa brought the littles up to Limon so the girls in the office could see them.
Katie and Baby Maddie met up with us.
After lunch, I went home with them so we could rest up and then head to Kit Carson for trick-or-treating.

The Little Lady said that her superpower was "force fields."
{She's very into the movie The Incredibles and the girl's power on the movie is throwing force fields.}
I love the pic of her below, throwing her best force field : )

She also said that GW's superpower was walking on water.
We giggled and told her, "no, that's Jesus." : )

GW fought his nap all afternoon.
Then he fell asleep about 20 minutes before we needed to leave.
Despite how he's looking here, he ended up having a lot of fun.
We all did.
I'm so thankful for such a nice little community to trick-or-treat in.

Pumpkin Carving

Last Sunday night, Gaga and Papa came over for pumpkin carving.
It was a fun night...snacks, pumpkins and World Series baseball.

Gaga and Papa got the littles these awesome trick-or-treat bags!

Pumpkin guts make someone gag...

But not her little brother!
{Check out T's face in the pictures!}

So, she decided she'd draw on hers...

GW thoroughly enjoyed himself!

The finished products.

This is her scary face : )

GW's First Haircut

GW got his first haircut two weeks ago.

At first I really didn't love it, but it has grown on me...some.

I always said I wanted to just let him have shaggy hair, but it was long and getting in his eyes and with family pictures scheduled the next weekend I decided we better do something about it.

Once we got home and I kind of roughed the front up, I liked it better.

One night the week before I took him to get his haircut, I mentioned to John Wayne that I thought GW was needing a haircut.
To which his big sister piped up, "oh, I can do it."
All of the scissors were hidden.

GW's First Birthday Party!!!

We had so much fun celebrating Gunner's first birthday on Saturday.

Lots of tractors, pumpkins, friends and family made for a great day!

My Mom and I love Fall, so we had fun decorating outside for this party.
My Grandparents gave me this John Deere pedal tractor when I was two-years-old.
Last year, my Grandpa restored it...looks good as new, doesn't it?!

John Deere green and yellow, orange pumpkins, and of course turquoise...perfect!

I used the monthly carseat pictures as part of the decorations.

With Gaga's help, I made the cute pumpkin cake and smash cake.
I ordered the adorable cupcake toppers off Etsy.

The popcorn bar was a fun {and easy} addition.

My sweet happy family!

 The birthday boy!

CAKE!!!

The kids had fun decorating pumpkins!

Two of my best girlfriends and their sweet kids were there to celebrate with us.

And when the party was over...GW really enjoyed himself!

A big thank you to all of our friends and family who helped celebrate Gunner's special day with us!

The Little Buckaroo {{1-year-old}}

One-year-old.
One-year-old.
Ahhhhhhhhh.....

It really doesn't seem like it's been a whole year since our little G-Dub made his appearance and completed our little family.
His smile brightens our every day.

He's a busy little boy and all boy he is.
He likes rocks, football, animals and tractors.

The true son of a rancher, he prefers steak.
His Mama's boy, he loves ice cream.

He give the BEST kisses.
He waves hi and bye and has just began to say "hi" and "bye" along with it.
He'll occasionally say "here" when he hands you something.

I LOVE to watch him and his sister interact.
They are already the best of friends {and at times, the biggest of enemies}!

The hair really does shine red at times, and boy does he have a temper to match it.

I can't believe this is the last monthly carseat picture.
And in true GW fashion, he was a ham.

We had a little photo shoot the other day to capture a couple of 1-year-old pictures...

Happy Birthday G-Dub!!!
We love you SO much!

Pumpkin Patch

Well hello my friends!  It's been WAY too long.
I am so behind in the blogging world {among other things in my life!}, I debated trying to go back and catch up on posts and settled on just picking up right now.
So here we go...

My Mom and Dad just returned from a weeks vacation, so that means I got to stay home with the littles for a week.
We had lots of fun.
One day included a visit to the pumpkin patch with Aunt Katie and Baby Maddie!

It was great.
It was a Wednesday morning and so it wasn't crowded at all.
I was even able to just let GW down to wander around; he of course loved that!

The Little Lady had a blast picking pumpkins out.
She was all set to go home and carve one that afternoon.

And we of course all had fun with Baby Maddie!

So here's to a happy Fall my friends...and a lot less time between visits!

The Little Buckaroo {{11-months-old}}

11-months-old!
Eleven!
I know I'm his Mama, but look at that cuteness.

The Little Buckaroo is doing great.

Ornery.  Ornery.  Ornery.
The orneriness is really starting to shine.
We've been on top of counters this month, crawled out the door, about fell on his head out of the shopping cart...and these are just the highlights.

He's still a super happy little guy.
But...he has a temper.
Like, throw yourself on the ground and kick your legs, sort of temper.

He had a little bout where we ended up at the pediatricians office one weekend.
We thought it was salmonella, but all the tests came back negative.
After some trial and error at home, I've come to the determination that he might have a little bit of a milk allergy???
He seems to be just fine on the soy formula.
So we'll see what Dr. Hoover has to say when we go see him next month.

Food.
Oh my goodness, this boy finally loves food.
The other night, we were having steak and I literally could not cut it fast enough to keep him happy.

He almost has four teeth.
The top two are broke through, but not quite all the way in yet.

And the biggest news...I guess we could go ahead and classify him as a walker.
This weekend, he started taking three and four steps at a time.
The other day, after he had taken two steps the night before, T told Gaga, "Gunner walked two miles last night."

Speaking of big sister, double trouble these two are.
Their Dad and I don't stand a chance!

He's telling you how old he's going to be next month...one.
His Dad and big sister have been working on that with him.

We're busy around here getting ready for a big birthday bash!!!
