Trailerhood Tour Part 7 - Hallway

The hallway...
Yeh, it's not really a room...
But, John Wayne just finished hanging up our new pictures and frames, and I love them, so I had to share!

I got this handmade frame and the wall decal from Etsy.
love, Love, LOVE Etsy!!!
I might have just a little bit of an Etsy addiction.

The rest of the frames came from Hobby Lobby.

We were missing our linen closest so we found this great cabinet to substitute and I found these cute decorations for the top of it at Jo-Ann's on Black Friday.

John Wayne may have just hung his last picture frame in the trailerhood!

Trailerhood Tour Part 6 - Living Room

Welcome to our living room! As with the rest of the house, I love it! It came together and ended up having a much roomier feeling than I expected. I really anticipated having to put the chase or chair in storage, but I think it all works nicely.

Well, that concludes our virtual tour of the trailerhood...now y'all just need to come visit in person!

Trailerhood Tour Part 5 - Kitchen

Welcome to the kitchen. I'm pretty sure I've said this about every room (that's a good thing), but I must say, I do LOVE how it turned out!

I had originally planned on painting it a shade of brown, but at the last minute I decided color was good and boy am I glad I did! Couldn't love the shade of turquoise I went with more! (*Note...when I say "planned on painting..." I mean having my Mom paint. She was a saint and painted the entire house for us before we moved in. Thank you Mom!)

Found the PERFECT rugs at Kohls. I was pretty excited...I think I did a little kick your heels up sort of jig right there in the rug aisle! Well, they are deserving of that, are they not?

This material is what absolutely makes the room though. Hands down, with out a doubt, it ties it all together.

Oh but wait...this material made into this table runner, THIS is the best part of the room. Thank you Grandma!

(Right now you're wishing you had my Mom and Grandma, aren't you?)

A few well placed turquoise and red accents and a couple of metal stars to finish it off.

My kitchen is always open, stop by anytime and I'll come up with something for you!

Trailerhood Tour Part 4 - Office/Craft Room

Welcome to where the work and creativity take place...mostly creativity, I try to avoid too much work!

You love the red wall, right?!? Please tell John Wayne that next time you see him.

My Mom and John Wayne had painted the entire room, John Wayne asked me to help with touch-ups. First let me say, he knows this is a bad idea, I am crafty and talented in a lot of ways, but putting a paint brush in my hands is like giving me a grenade. I proceed to send the paint brush slopped in tan paint somersaulting through the air, speckling the freshly painted red wall with tan dots. I said we could go with the modern, abstract look...John Wayne yelled and cursed (I may have yelled and cursed a little as well) and told me to get out.

John Wayne says he will never paint me a red wall ever again (and obviously I can't do it).

Love this fabric, it brings the whole room together. Thanks Grandma for making it!

I decided the room needed something. That something ended up being a red bean bag. It actually makes for a rather cozy reading spot and the little lady loves it!

I love that when Mom and Dad lived here, Mom had the brilliancy to remove the closet door and replace it with this curtain. Gives you more room.

I'm really happy with how this room turned out. If I'm going to spend time in a room, I want to love it. So now I guess I better get to work on making some Christmas gifts. There are only 75 days until Christmas!

Trailerhood Tour Part 3 - Guest Bath

OK, I know what you're probably thinking..."Guest bath, who cares?"
YOU.
You will care after you travel the 100+ miles that it will take most of you to get here when you come to visit.

Down the hall and to the left...

And you'll naturally reach around the corner right inside the door for the light switch (trust me, I just know you will). And you won't find it there. But you might have to pee so bad that you'll consider just shutting the door and peeing in the dark...

...It's on the other wall beneath the towel rack.

Just the first thing you'll need to remember for your first visit to Wild Horse.

Trailerhood Tour Part 1 - Master

Sleep easy. We have the Magnificent Seven watching over us each night. Yes, Steve McQueen watching over me as I sleep.

John Wayne movie posters. Hmmm, John Wayne. The Pioneer Woman calls her hubby Marlboro Man, maybe we should call Justin John Wayne???

Our "designer" dresser got a little banged up in the move. Neither John Wayne (I think I love it...I think he's going to hate it!) or I were really up for sanding and painting, so I dusted off the sewing machine and made a runner for the dresser, and while I was at it, I made a curtain for the bathroom.

So there you have it, the master suite of the trailerhood. I must say, I love how it turned out!
