Yes, I am actually crazy enough to take my crazy 21-month-old shopping...on Black Friday! But, the Little Lady is a rock-star shopper and actually did really well. I mean come on, who doesn't love Target at 5AM?!?
But it did take her almost 15 hours of sleep {literally, 8PM Friday night to almost 11AM Saturday morning} to recover.
We put up all of our Christmas decorations over the weekend. The Little Lady was down for her afternoon nap when we put the tree up. When she woke up from her nap, she was in awe. It was so sweet!
My prints finally arrived from our family photo shoot...yay! I was so excited to update the pictures in my office. I have a 16x20 canvas, also for my office, that should be arriving any day...can't wait!
Earlier in the week, we had some beautiful Colorado weather. The Little Lady was thrilled for a chance to get outside and play...and sport her new hat that Grandma bought her on Black Friday.
On Wednesday, I had to make a trip to the big city for work. The long drive home was totally manageable though, with my White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha and Merle Haggard tunes. Yes, I just said Merle Haggard tunes. John Wayne and I are headed to Vegas next weekend for the National Finals Rodeo and while we're out there, we're going to see The Hag in concert with some of our friends. I really truly cannot wait. My "Mama Tried" t-shirt is ready to go!
I was soooo excited when the UPS man brought me this little box yesterday...my first pair of Toms. Please take special notice of the awesome turquoise soles!
Here's to a great weekend! We're pretty excited around the Trailerhood, tonight's pizza night and the premier of the Good Luck Charlie Christmas movie. Good Luck Charlie this Friday night, Merle next Friday night...life just doesn't get any better than this!

She is adorable! I didn't brave the crowds this year for Black Friday - I didn't want to get out of my warm bed haha.
You daughter is darling! We hit up Black Friday this year, but not until later in the afternoon. I am going to have to try the white chocolate peppermint mocha, that sounds really good!
Your little girl is precious!!
LOVE the Toms. Those exact ones are on my Christmas Wish list!
MMmmm Starbucks!!
I did some BF Shopping too but with no little ones. It took me about as long to recover, lol!
Your Little Lady is SO CUTE! And totally my hero for braving Black Friday. :o)
I love Merle! I was able to see another country legend a couple of years ago: George Jones. He was still able to rock it out. :o)
I'm totally digging those Toms!!
Hey there, Emily. I popped over from cookie exchange on The Larson Lingo and wanted to say hi! I'm a CO girl (north of Co Springs) too!
I LOVE your TOMS. I was eyeing that pair as well but in the end decided I was unsure of the turquoise sole! I think I want some that are lined with fleece b/c it's been COLD here lately, huh?
Anyway, nice to "meet you"!
